Saving Lives, one missing person at a time.

The Forcer Protocol is a UK-wide police initiative to help locate and protect serving or ex-service personnel (veterans and reservists) who go missing.

Rapid, compassionate intervention when it's needed most

Named in honour of Alan Forcer, a veteran who tragically took his own life, the protocol was created to ensure that no one who has served our country is left without rapid, compassionate intervention during moments of acute mental distress.

Who Is Behind It

The Forcer Protocol was founded by Claire Lilly, Alan’s former wife, along with their son Josh Forcer, in collaboration with serving officers, police leadership and veteran organisations across the UK, and officially endorsed in Parliament on Armed Forces Day, 2025: Their tireless work has turned a personal tragedy into a national system of prevention and hope.

Together, they’ve campaigned for change and built a multi award-winning, unified network of emergency responders and support services dedicated to never letting a veteran or service person fall through the cracks again.
